Along the way we meet a professional wrestler with pain asymbolia who desperately wants to feel pain again, an S&M professor who doesn’t, a judge with a pistol strapped to one ankle and the Ten Commandments tattooed to the other, all of them sharing a dark secret. It’s a laugh-out-loud romp, playing out in a poisoned land that’s trying to get even.
